Effect
Purolyt quickly destroys algae and viruses such as:
- Escherichia coli
- Salmonella typhimurium
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Pythium spp./Phytophthora spp. (root rot)
- Botrytis cinerea (gray mold)
- Peronosporaceae (downy mildew)
- Erysiphaceae (powdery mildew)
Biofilms in water-bearing systems are also effectively removed and their reformation prevented.
Application
Purolyt can be applied - diluted according to the application - by spraying, fogging, wiping, dipping or by direct addition into the liquid to be disinfected.
Principle of action
Purolyt uses a principle of action similar to that of the human body to fight bacteria and viruses:
When the immune system detects a virus, white blood cells are activated. These produce hypochlorous acid (HOCL), which is also the active ingredient in Purolyt.
It is scientifically confirmed that HOCL has extremely efficient disinfecting properties.

Application in the grow segment
It is known that plants, such as hemp, grow significantly better in tropical climates, as well as show increased resistance to pests and co. However, home growers often reduce the relative humidity in the air at the end of the plant's life cycle, especially to prevent mold and the well-known bud rot, which is caused by mold inside the fruit.
With Purolyt, the high humidity in the tent can be maintained even at the end of the life cycle of the plant, without having to worry about becoming a victim of mold in the fruit. Purolyt actively disinfects the plant and kills mold cultures on the plant, which allows the relative humidity in the tent to be kept high even at the final stage.
In the course of the life cycle of the plant, the transpiration of the plant also increases significantly, so it is always important to maintain a balance between temperature and relative humidity.
Also for home growers who find it difficult to bring the humidity in the grow tent below 50% at the end of the life of the plant, Purolyt is ideal to preventively eliminate mold hotspots in the tent sustainably.
At the bottom of the page you will find a graph showing the optimal relative humidity in relation to the temperature. In addition, you can see the possible degree of dilution of Purolyt, which must be added to the spray solution at each plant stage.
It is important to note that the spray solution mixed with Purolyt should only be sprayed during the dark phase, as UV light significantly reduces the effect of Purolyt. Purolyt should therefore also be stored in a dark and dry place.
