Landrace Warden

Landrace Warden collects and supplies landrace seeds from cannabis strains in south and central Asia. Landrace cannabis plants are those that have naturally evolved within a given geographical area from wild populations. They remain untainted by outside influence.

Landrace strains evolve due to both geographical and climate influences as well as happenstance as wild plants are pollinated, as well as by phytochemical selection whereby local farmers select seeds from plants that display certain desired characteristics for growing next season. Over time genetic diversity is bred into these landraces leading to a greater resilience and adaptability to local conditions.

As well as being a valuable resource on their own, these landrace strains help to increase the genetic diversity of 'hybrid' strains. Landrace Warden offers these strains as a means of preserving these priceless genetics.
